Crepes with Banana and Chocolate Syrup


A common dessert but a taste you never get bored of.

Ingredients (4 people) :

For the crepes

  • Half a cap of all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of melted butter

for the dessert

  • 4 big crepes
  • 240 grams of light cream cheese
  • 2 bananas
  • 8 tbsp of hot chocolate syrup

Instructions : 

For the crepes

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the butter onto the griddle, using a few for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the butter coats the surface evenly.
  3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. 

for the dessert

  1. Place the crepes on a plate each and spread cream cheese and slices of bananas on them.
  2. Fold them the way you like (roll them, fold them in half, in four, etc.)
  3. Cut some bananas and add on top. Pour the syrup on top.
