Millefeuille with Strawberries

A re-make of your favourite French pastry.

Ingredients (4 people) :

  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 400 grams of strawberries
  • 250 grams of PHILADELPHIA 
  • 50 grams of sour cream
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 egg yolk 
  • Castor sugar for the garnish

Instructions :

  1. Cut the puff pastry in 6 long and narrow pieces 10×15 cm. In a form spread nonstick paper and place the puff pastry on it. Preheat the oven in 180°C. When the puff pastry is unfrozen you whisk the egg yolk with a few water and then spread it on the puff pastry. You bake for about 20 minutes, until the puff pastry gets a slight colour and then you leave it in room temperature.
  2. Wash and dry the strawberries and cut in rings. Mix the PHILADELPHIA with the sour cream and the sugar. Fold the puff pastries in two like a sandwich. Spread on the bottom of the folded puff pastries the creme, add the strawberries and cover with the upper part of the pastries. Garnish with the rest of the strawberries and the castor sugar.
  3. Serve right away.
